The rugby pitches at Hough end were in pretty good nick but for the occasional strategically placed pond that made them unplayable.
We were lucky enough to be able to play on one of the nearby football pitches, which meant that kicking conversions was not going to be brought into play for this match.
Equally welcome to playing, for both players and parents, was the temperature, a balmy 12 c warmer than last weeks
