Men's 1st team are still top of their league despite losing to mid-table Tyldesley at home. A couple of slices of good fortune for Tyldesley helped. A misplaced pass gave them an interception try and a charged down kick deflected into the hands of a Tyldesley player who ran in unopposed. Maybe a touch of complacency had crept into 'Park's play in recent weeks. 'Park scored 6 tries but only scored 4 points from kicks. 'Park have dropped 6 points in the league and in their two defeats they have got the maximum 2 points on each occasion.

Every point counts because the number of points decides the venue of the playoff for the 2nd placed teams and they don't want to be travelling to Keswick or Aspatria or even De La Salle for an end of season play-off game.

The Women's team also remain top despite their game being postponed.
