Broughton Park have announced their new Sponsorship Managers to help drive commercial partnerships for the club
Tom Booth (mens representative) + Alana Borkwood (Ladies representative) have been announced as the new sponsorship team for next season.
Booth takes the role after nine years at Hough End . Commenting on his appointment, Board Trustee Jim Rochford said, “The sponsorship role is a critical role at the Club and it’s important to us to be a fully inclusive community. With his vast knowledge of the marketing industry and his significant commercial experience, I know Boothy will bring a progressive approach to the Club’s commercial activities and will help us achieve our long-term goals and commercial partnership success.”
Tom Booth added, “Park has an exciting vision for the future so I am delighted to be leading the sponsorship opportunities for the club I have been a part of for the nearly the last 10 years. “I look forward to getting to know the Club’s existing supporters and commercial partners and I’m excited by the prospect of developing new commercial opportunities atleve with a true professional approach + conduct.”
In addition to Booth's appointment Park has also strengthened its sponsorship team by recruiting Ladies first team player as Joint sponsorship manager and “Will will bring great insight and energy to the role and will be a key appointment in the Club’s future success,” added Rochford”

Sponsorship is an important factor of Broughton Park’s marketing and commercial strategy, and sponsor partners play a vital role across all club and league competitions with their financial support as well as their promotional potential. The new Sponsorship Manager provides marketing expertise to guarantee the highest possible standard of sponsorship for BPFC partners moving forward, The role will give the rights delivery and optimise implementation of the sponsorship programme in general. Key responsibilities
Where/when appropriate, the Sponsorship Manager provides general support in the development of marketing plans and business development activities for current and future projects.
Specifically they will be in charge of:
- Providing input for the development of commercial concepts, sales strategies and sales policies;
- Assisting with the implementation process of sponsorship
- Ensuring that contractual points are agreed internally.
- Developing, together with an account management framework and guidelines
- Procuring internal approval management for new sponsorship campaigns and activities.
Coordination of commercial operations:
- Ensuring proper implementation of the BPFC’s commercial programs with the board of trustees
- Managing sponsor promotional activities and encouraging synergies with BPFC’s marketing and promotional activities across all age groups and senior rugby.
- Managing and coordinating any local marketing and sales opportunities with the host associations of youth or women’s tournaments.
- Managing the relevant budgets associated with the role.
