Games should be confirmed with the Referee before Wednesday of the game. According to the Referee website this is what you should do:-

Confirmation (RFU Game regulations). From the MADREF website.

It is the home club’s responsibility to make direct contact with the appointed match official(s) to ensure that the match official(s) is (are) aware of the arrangements [confirmation of appointment, time of kick-off, colours of teams etc.] and have the appropriate directions to the venue for the match (or any change of venue).

There was one game last season when a Referee was re-appointed to another game because our game was not confirmed. Our team did not have a referee. You can't play without 'em.

Referees are ALWAYS in short supply, so it helps if we treat them as well as possible so that we don't go to the back of the queue when appointments are made.

Unfortunately one Referee has stopped refereeing because of how he was treated. I think that this should be borne in mind when players want to have an expletive ridden dialogue about a decision.

As mentioned before, you can't play without 'em!!
