Broughton Park FC has a storied legacy of producing top-level rugby talent—players who have gone on to represent Lancashire, England, Ireland, the Barbarians, and the British & Irish Lions.
Historic Victories Over the All Blacks
- 1972: Mike Leadbetter (2nd row) and Tony Neary (openside flanker) featured in the North West Counties team that beat the All Blacks 16–14 in Workington.
- November 1979: Four Park players starred in the North team that defeated the All Blacks 20–9 in Otley:

- Raffi Quirke – Broughton Park junior, England U18 (2018), made his Sale Sharks debut in 2021, scored the winning try against South Africa in November 2021, made senior England debut in 2021, and signed a new two-year contract with Sale in March 2025.
